Within the framework of the EU Council Decision 2015/2309 on the promotion of effective arms export controls (COARM project), a Regional Workshop for Eastern Partnership Countries will take place in Yerevan, Armenia on 20-21 October 2016.
The workshop aims to offer Eastern European partners a platform to exchange recent developments in the area of export control of conventional arms with their counterparts from neighboring countries and EU member states. In turn EU colleagues will report on updates of the EU policy e.g. with regard to amendments of the Common military list and embargo provisions. Further agenda items will be discussions on inter-agency cooperation, the relation between export control authorities and exporter as well as It-support for enforcement officers.
In Armenia, BAFA will be supported by experts from Sweden, Poland, Hungary and the United Kingdom.
